Kitchen fire causes $40,000 damage Monday night A kitchen fire caused an estimated $40,000 damage Monday night to a South Peoria home. Firefighters were called just before 10 p.m. to 1926 W. Wiswall St. and found heavy smoke in the one-story house. The fire was contained to the kitchen area.
